From the get go, Alton dominated the game, with the majority of our possession in Hamble's half. Within the first 10 minutes, Ross had opened the scoring, with an assist from Kercher.
Alton’s press, a well choreographed move, ensured that Hamble struggled to break through. Although Alton’s defensive line was strong, it faltered at times, leaving Milner and Jinadasa with a 3 vs 2, ending in an own goal from Ryan as she tried to make a goal-line clearance.
With Alton facing the blinding sun, Hamble had another chance with a crash ball into the D, deflected off Wallace's stick landing at the feet of an attacker, who scored.
After a motivational talk at half time, our defense became impenetrable with L.White and Anderson, down the wings, intercepting any passes.
Multiple short corners were given to Alton, taken by Footit and others. Resulting in goals from Ross, assisted by N.White, Chinchen and Kercher again. Blanchard's amazing crash ball into the D resulting in a deflection from Ross, putting Alton 5-2 up.
Another short corner resulting in an amazing hit from the top of the D into the bottom corner of the goal by Dennison, assisted by Kercher. And finally N.White earning a P-Flick, which Ross scored.
Hamble unable to come down the left wing due to amazing interceptions by Craig, enabled Alton to not concede in the second half
Well earnt player of the match, Ross, scoring 5 goals and still coming back to defend when necessary. Well done.
