Last Sunday Tigers' top team hosted league title contenders, Bec. The match got off to a strong start for Tigers. New divisions seemed to immediately gel with great attacking movements from both of the home divisions resulting in some well earned goals. Bec, albeit clear favourites, got off to a somewhat jittery start, giving away a number of fouls in and around the post. Bec coach, John Denton was forced to take an early timeout in efforts to tame the Tigery attack! This seemed to bring a bit more composure to the visiting team who managed to secure a half time lead.
Tigers continued to fight hard in the second half, and coach Liv Harcourt utilised the depth on the Tigers bench to bring some new dynamic onto the court.
Big shout out to Alf Timney who top scored the afternoon with a very impressive 7 goals!
Great performance all round for Tigers who can be very proud of a sterling effort despite despite the final score, which ended 31-15. Well done Tigers! 🐯🧡🖤
