After a week off, Tigers 2 were keen to earn their first win of the season against a very familiar opposition. Playing the return fixture against Harrow 1, this Tigers team boasted a fantastic mix of youth and experience. The wrongs were righted from a fortnight ago and Tigers pulled off a fantastic 21 – 12 win!!
Following some very accurate and quick-off-the-blocks shooting from Messrs Rodgers and Kelemen, Tigers went into a strong lead from the outset. Despite several times when a Harrow comeback was very much on, Tigers’ shooters hit several purple patches at key moments to maintain a healthy gap. The second half contained great creative play and flair, but also much-needed composure from the team!
Goals aplenty amongst the squad: Joseph (5), Rob (4), Alex (3), David (3), Martha (2) and a goal apiece for Emma, Ella, Sam, Luuk. We say goodbye to Tigers stalwart Alex Zens (in what was very likely her final game for Tigers) and wish her well for her next chapter in Wales. We also welcome George and Liza to the squad, and they certainly seem to be settling in well!
