This Sunday saw a hard-fought win for Tigers 2 against a very experienced Kingfisher second team. After a slow start with an early Kingfisher lead thanks to accurate long-range shooting, a period of trading goals then gave way to a Tigers claw-back with the half-time score at 11-11.
A cagey second-half followed with scoring hard to come by (except for Sam who finished with six!). Tigers edged in front for the final quarter and with great composure shown by the entire team, held on for a 18-17 win, despite a very late Kingfisher score and with Daisy scoring the deciding goal with a minute to go. A thriller to the final whistle!
Next week Tigers 1 and 2 are back at the Perse to welcome Norwick Knights.
