T5’s penultimate match of the season was away to P2. The home match against them at the start of the season had been a close fought battle.
It started out pretty evenly, but couple of good attacks towards the end of the 1st half meant we finished 5-2 ahead at half time.
The start of the second half was scrappy from both teams with lots of loose passes and misread moves. Phoenix started to capitalise on our weaker areas to narrow the gap. Captain Jacqui was having none of it - despite having come straight from a netball match, she suddenly found her boost button and popped in a massive 5 goals.
Final score 12-6, securing us 2nd place in Div 2, which is an awesome achievement for the bottom Tigers team. Our final match on 7th May will be a tough one against top of the table Uni 1, who are itching to be promoted back up to Division 1.
