MDevs faced Edinburgh for the first time since the home side joined the league, and it provided both sides with a good work out played in the right spirit.
EHC probably had more possesion, more penalty corners, and fired a few dangerous balls into the D which just lacked a finishing touch, whereas FAL looked dangerous on the break. It was from one of these counter attacks that the visitors took the lead, when Graeme Shields found an unmarked Alfie Kay in the D, and as the keeper came out, he squared the ball to Xander Cook who slotted the ball home for his first goal for the club.
MDevs doubled their lead at the start of the 2nd half when Graeme Shields flicked home at a penalty corner, and then went 3 up when Alexander Neave's cross was converted by Graeme Shields with a shot into the bottom left corner.
Edinburgh continued to press, but found Willie Simpson and Andrew Kay in good form to keep them off the scoreboard. In the final quarter the home side got a consolation score with a direct strike from a penalty corner that found the bottom left corner perfectly.
Another good run out for the MDevs, and we get to go again this weekend as we welcome Edinburgh to Linlithgow Academy.
