Our soft ball girls had the Gloucestershire girls finals day at the weekend, which was held at OBWCC, where we welcomed 8 teams from across the county.
Unfortunately the rain intervened in the middle of our match and it was agreed that the trophy would be shared.
I have to say that was a hugely enjoyable and rewarding first season of girls age group cricket at the club.
We have ended the season unbeaten in both soft ball and hard ball cricket. We have won the south league in both and come away from finals days in both with trophies and medals, and have beaten our boys Under 11s - that is some year!!!
Well done to all the girls for their total commitment throughout the year, they have been amazing to work with. I am so proud to see the improvement they have all made and amazing bonds and team spirit.
We also wish the 6 of our Blazers team who have county games this week the very best of luck!
The club are incredibly grateful for all the work that Gareth and all the youth coaches have done this year which has seen the entire youth section go from strength to strength and help to ensure the future of our club is bright!
