After two years at the helm of the 1st XI, Russ Baker has stepped down as Captain. Baker has scored more than 2,500 1st XI runs and will no doubt continue to be a key part of the team as they settle into life in the B&D Senior Division.
The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Russ for his efforts as 1st XI Captain over the last couple of years.
He will be replaced as Captain by George Willis who joined the Club in 2021 after graduating from the University of Surrey and has led the 1st XI bowling attack in both of his first two seasons with OBWCC.
George has taken 51 wickets in his first two years opening the bowling for the 1st team and brings a youthful energy to the role which will no doubt lead to an exciting year ahead.
