All senior men's sides at Old Bristolians Westbury CC won again on the second weekend of June (8-9 June) meaning the entire men's section has now gone three weeks unbeaten in their leagues, as the ladies' side succumbed to their first defeat of the season.
With all men's sides in action on Saturday, the 1st XI hosted Bradley Stoke and the 3rd XI Portishead, while the 2nd XI travelled to Winterbourne CC.
At Fortress Failand the 1st XI were put into bat and found themselves 12-1 at the end of the fifth over when Ross Whyte (sponsored by Westbury Park Chiropractic) was trapped LBW for 5 and then 36-2 when Fin Yates (sponsored by Bakers of Nailsea) was bowled for 9.
However, strong performances from Ben Jarman (sponsored by New Heat Plumbing) and Ben Figueiredo who each made it into the 40s ensured the runs kept ticking over, before a fantastic 63 off 41 balls from Jino.Jojo (sponsored by Orca Electrical) and another innings in the 30s from overseas Fletcher May (sponsored by Travis Perkins) ensured OBWs made 249-7 off their 50 overs.
Strong bowling then at one stage had Bradley Stoke 38-4 and despite a valiant 50 from the visitor's captain Dan Laver, 250 proved 58 runs too much to chase.
Away from home the 2nd XI picked up perhaps their best win of the season to date, winning the toss and bowling out Winterbourne for just 88, with the wickets shared between five different bowlers.
Like the 1st XI against Bath two weeks ago, the 2nd XI then knocked off the runs without losing a wicket, Ben Harris (sponsored by The Angel) and Sajan Rana (sponsored by JRM Roofing) making 38* and 46* respectively.
Meanwhile back at the Fortress, the 3rd XI as it turned out, where challenged much more than the previous two weeks, when they won by 100 and then 101 runs.
This time out after losing the toss and being put in the field, the visitors were bowled out for 113, setting up what was expected to be a relatively comfortable chase.
However that comfort quickly evaporated as OBWs collapsed to 9-3, a positive 42 off 51 balls from Greg Walters essential to keeping the hosts in the contest.
22 extras including 19 wides, a crucial 13 runs from Jack Harvey plus sensible innings' of 4* from both Lewis Campbell and Craig Strachan saw the 3rd XI over the line.
Unfortunately on the ladies' side having so far gone totally unbeaten, the ladies XI lost on Sunday to Golden Hill in a T20 league fixture.
Setting a target of 92 to win off their 20 overs, Golden Hill chased it down without losing a wicket. However, so successful has the ladies' season been so far, OBWs remain top of the table.
Meanwhile on the same day the U13 girls Blazers comfortably beat Stoke Bishop by nine wickets, with the girls also top of their league.
On the men's side, Saturday's results mean the 1st XI sit second in WEPL Bristol and North Somerset behind only Knowle CC, with the 2nd XI also second in B&D Division Four, just three points behind Long Ashton.
The 3rd XI's victory over Portishead sees them move into fifth in B&D Division Seven West. Only six points separate OBWCC and Wrington in third, who OBWs play next weekend.
This coming week sees the men's 2nd XI enter T20 cup action for the first time, hosting B&D Senior side Whitchurch on Wednesday 12 June.
