The Tigermoths found their mojo today. After several fruitless visits to the Surbiton D, went 0-1 behind at the end of the first quarter 🤪.. More pressure, more attempts, but marking wasn’t optimal, went behind 0-2 in second half..
But self belief reigned from the third quarter onwards, with beautiful teamwork, hungry tackles and attacks, beautiful passing and endless energy. This turned the game around, and we scored three in succession from open play.. Despite a few short corners in the last quarter Surbiton could not get back in it, in fact we were close to extending the score several times..
More important than the happy score line is the amazing team spirit and team work on display today. Great marking, high press, defence, midfield and attack all moving as units, it really clicked in the second half, and best hockey of this team so far this season as a result. 😁👍🏼🏑
