St Ives 3s started well with good build up play and plenty of attacks coming down the right hand side from Dave Ranner. The goals soon followed from hattrick hero Richard Kellet and Luke Pooley and by half time it was 3-0 up. GK Alex keep St Ives in the game with a number of fine save.
Despite numerous chances in the second half it was Newmarket who got two goals to bring it to 3-2. However, Kellet got his third goal to maintain the safe cushion for st Ives to finish the game 4-2. A red card for Newmarket was a slight dissapointment to what was otherwise a good tempered game.
A good performance by St Ives sees them third place in the league table.
