Mens 4 vs Kettering 4

St Ives played their last game of the season and despite a slow start, they soon started to press the Kettering defences. However, it was Kettering who opened the score. Despite the set back against the run of play, St Ives continued pressure on the Kettering defences paid off with another excellent goal from young Luke Pooley.

The second half saw more pressure from St Ives, creating numerous chances. Towards the end of the game it was Josh Bigwood who got the second for St Ives. However, Kettering were not to be outdone and with a last minute penalty corner awarded they scored to equalise with the last touch of the game.

St Ives can be proud of the hockey they played this season with up and coming youngsters Luke Pooley, Michael Wildin and Alex Beardall. St Ives finished a well placed third in the league. It was skipper Seve's last game in charge of the 4ths, who steps done as captain after a number of years.
