St Neots Men’s 1s produced a stunning comeback to come from four goals down to beat Bourne Deeping 5-4.

Despite having some good early chances, Saints were two goals down at half time.

After the break, things got worse as Bourne put away two more goals to take a 4-0 lead.

The comeback started when Mike Hornby’s long through ball was picked up by Phil McMorris, who brilliantly finished.

Saints were looking more hopeful when Harry Pybus played in Jack Nethercott for the second, before assisting Evan Lincoln for the third.

The comeback was complete when McMorris converted a penalty flick after Brad Forsdick’s shot was blocked by a foot.

Saints weren’t satisfied with a draw and found a winner when Rob Hoye’s cut back was deflected in by a Bourne defender.

The Women’s 1s had to twice make a comeback to win their game against St Ives 1s 3-2.

After falling behind, Holly Harper deflected in an equaliser from a Tanya Sargeant shot.

St Ives took the lead for a second time after the break, but Saints were again level from another deflection.

This time, Marie Quintilla deflected in a shot from Louise Taylor.

Saints found the winner midway through the second half when another Taylor short corner effort was blocked and Caroline Osborne was on hand to finish.

The win keeps their lead at the top of the table to six points.

Both second teams were playing Cambridge City sides but had mixed results.

The Men’s 2s remain in second place after the 2-0 win over City 7s, Willem Zwetsloot and Andrew Pope with the goals.

The Women’s 2s ended up losing 8-1 to City 5s after taking an early lead through Chloe Pinn.

Both third teams were beaten at home without scoring a goal.

The Men’s 3s lost 3-0 to City of Peterborough 6s, while the Women’s 3s lost 7-0 to Cambridge University 4s.

The fourth teams had better results, both securing wins with clean sheets.

The Men’s 4s beat Cambridge South 6s 2-0, thanks to a William Clarke brace, while Thea Crook’s goal helped the Women’s 4s to a 1-0 against Wisbech 4s.
