Proposed County Cup and Vase Competition
We are attempting to relaunch the Men's and Ladies Durham County Clubs Cup on the 7th and 8th September 2024 at Maiden Castle, Durham University. All clubs who are affiliated to Durham County are invited to enter teams via this Google Form Durham County Cup 2024 Entry Form
Depending on the number of entries, games may be played across 2 days over the weekend or if there are few entries it will be a 1 day event!
The competition will be a two tiered event...
The CUP is for teams who will be playing Grade 2 and Grade 3 leagues (I have attached the league structure for next season)
The VASE is for teams playing in Grade 4 and Grade 5 leagues
It is important that teams are entered at the correct level to make it a meaningful competition for all- clubs are welcome to enter a team in the Cup and a team in the Vase (eg- 1st Team plays in the Cup/3rd Team plays in the Vase).
We need to decide whether this is viable for September 2024 so the deadline for entry is Friday 5th July- there is NO entry fee- teams will need to provide an umpire. Once we know entries, we will let you know more details by the middle of July.
