Boys U16 - Lions vs Harrow Boys U16

Our first match since December, postponed by a frozen pitch last week, and what an exciting and enjoyable match it was! Thank you to all the parents and players for efficiently and speedily saying YES on Teamo to the new date.

Our team this week consisted of three U14 Boys and ten U16 Boys and Coach Penny stepped up to lead the warm up and coach for the match - thank you Penny! A fast-paced start, created our first attempt on goal within the first minute, with Lucas going on to score in the third minute to get us off to a cracking start. Ealing relentlessly attacked Harrow, with the majority of play being near the Harrow goal. Just seven minutes in, Ealing's Kai scored after a skilful assist by Nick - Harrow 0 - 2 Ealing! Ealing continued passing intricately at speed between players, led by Captain Lucas' direct (and loud) guidance. After only another five minutes, Zeya sprinted with the ball from the half way line at such speed that Harrow were left bewildered! Zeya's assist to Bhim, led to yet another goal, from just inside the D, hit crisply into the far corner - well done Bhim - Harrow 0 - 3 Ealing! 

Our excellent defenders and Goal Keeper Roman, managed to stop a few Harrow attempts on our goal, but at 14 minutes in, Harrow scored their first goal. Harrow 1 - 3 Ealing. Ealing kept positive, making many more attempts on the Harrow goal and keeping the pace of the game very quick. Gian Luca, Taranveer and George always maintain a formidable force at the rear and our U14 Outfielders, Oskar and James kept up with the stellar pace and moved in and out of different positions masterfully - well done boys! 

At just nine minutes after half-time, another dynamic Ealing attack, led to a tap-in goal by Lucas - Harrow 1 - 4 Ealing! Then Harrow tried to valiantly claw back the lead and scored again. Harrow 2 - 4 Ealing.

Final score - Harrow 2 - 4 Ealing! Thank you to the U14 boys who played so well for us today - you fitted in perfectly!
