Under 14 vs Arundel CC, Under 14
A midweek trip down the road to Arundel for the U14’s.
M Dipple was selected as Captain for this match. ECC won the toss and elected to bowl.
ECC were quick to make an impact on the opening batters stopping the single runs and keeping Arundel to a low run rate in the first 4 overs. N Wright came into bowl and taking a wicket with the first ball of the over.
From the ECC continue being very strong with fielding and bowling. Two run outs by W Holland and H Booker kept the pressure on.
A maiden from S Hyland and a double from A Booker, with the last over finishing with a caught and bowled by A Huin Wah and a run out by W Holland.
W Holland and H Blunden opened our batting and setting off at a superb pace by achieving 57 runs in 7 overs. Both batters retired to make way for N Wright and A Arman to finish the game off and see us to the 86 to win.
Fantastic fielding by the whole team.
