Then the 100 club is your answer. The 100 club is a simple but effective way of raising funds for the Hockey Club.

With the purchase of a number for the price of £5 per month, members of the 100 club have the chance of winning prizes, including cash. There is no limit to how many numbers an individual can purchase, so the more participants, the bigger the prizes and the more money is raised.

100 Club Rules

1.0 Joining the 100 Club

1.1. Entrants must be registered as Club Members at www.morpethhockey.club

1.2. Entrants must complete the Online Application Form via www.morpethhockey.club

1.3. Entrants will be allocated a payment and a request for payment will be sent out. Entrants must set up payment ASAP.

1.4. If no payment is received 4 days prior to the draw, according to the website reporting tool, the entrant will not be entered into that month’s draw.

2.0 General

2.1 The objective of the Lottery is to raise funds for the general purpose of Morpeth Hockey Club. Hereafter called ‘The Club’. The Club is based at: Longhirst Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland.

2.2 The Lottery will be administered by The Men’s Section Treasurer & Ladies Representative, hereafter known as the Competition Secretaries.

2.3 The Lottery will be open to anybody aged 18 or over. Shares will be sequentially numbered from 1 onwards. Participants are entitled to hold any number of shares. A purchaser of a share becomes a participant in the Lottery. Once a numbered share has been allocated it cannot be changed or transferred within the competition.

2.4 The Lottery will be run once a month. If for any reason the draw is not made, there will be two draws the following month.

2.5 The draw will take place on the Last Saturday of every month.The draw will be made using an automatic random number generator or other such means as the Competition Secretaries deem appropriate.

2.6 All participants are entitled to attend the draws, which must be held in the presence of at least 2 members of the Club.

2.7.1 If two members aren’t available to attend, the draw will be where possible, broadcast live. If it is not possible to be broadcast live, a video will be taken and kept until a time it can be verified by two members of the club.

2.8 In the instance of both of the Competition Secretaries not being available to make the draw, a suitable deputy will be appointed.

2.9 The number of shares in the Lottery shall in the first instance be limited to 100 and each share shall be allocated a unique number. The Competition Secretaries will confirm the number of each participant’s allocated share(s) by e-mail, upon receipt of first monthly payment in MHC’s bank accounts.

2.10 The subscription for each share is £5 per month payable in advance by Direct Debit.

2.11 Entry into the draw will be on receipt of first monthly payment.

2.12 At least 50% of the total monthly subscriptions will be donated to The Club. Draws will be held on the following basis:

2.13 There will be a 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize. Please note: Prizes may not always be Cash Prizes

2.14 The winner of each draw will be notified by e-mail. Winners will be contacted by The Competition Secretaries as soon as possible after the draw to arrange the BACS transfer of prize money to winner’s bank account. A list of prize winning numbers for each draw will be published on The Club website.

2.15 The Competition Secretaries will not pay a prize to any Participant other than the purchaser of a winning share.

2.16 No Lottery participant will be included in the draw if the subscription for that month has not been received. It is the responsibility of each Participant to make sure they have paid their subscription. The Competition Secretaries reserves the right to reallocate any number where payment has not been received for a period of 3 months.

2.17 Under no circumstances will any subscription be refunded. If a participant wishes to withdraw from future draws of the Lottery they can do so at anytime by cancellation of their Direct Debit and Notification of the Competition Secretaries .

2.18 The management of the Lottery shall be vested in the Executive Committee’s of both sections of the club, whose decision shall be final in any matter requiring adjudication. The Executive Committee’s shall have power to amend or revoke these rules at their absolute discretion. The rules of the Lottery will be available via The Club website and any changes will be notified to Participants via The Club website.

2.19 The Lottery’s accounts will be available for inspection on request to the Competition Secretaries . All surplus income over expenditure shall be donated to The Club.

2.20 The Lottery is intended to be a Private Society Lottery under the provisions of the Gambling Act 2005.
