4th Team vs Worcester 7

We faced the usual combination of old campaigners and young talent but managed to make it a competitive game throughout, albeit with not too many chances for either side. Our best moments came in the first half, with a handful of penalty corners and some good attacking play. Simon Heron was particularly effective in driving us forward as was Dave Carver. Wulfs used the mobility of Lovepreet and Billy to drag the Worcester defence out of position although Billy took a painful whack on the knee for his troubles.

New 4ths skipper Jabb put in place an ambitious 3-2-3-2 that worked nicely and Worcester had little going forward in the first period, but as Wulfs legs tired in the second half they created more and the final whistle may have been a bit of a relief.

No goals but a great effort to start the season.
