The 2nd team travelled to Tamworth for a eagerly anticipated promotion rival clash.
Preparations for this crucial game went awry from the off with only 7 players on the pitch for the away side at pushback, with Tamworth insisted the push back time be honored (I would have done the same).
The 2nds navigated the opening 6/8 minutes without conceding and were then joined by the superstars.
A Cagey first half full off some contested decisions culminated in some great chances being scuppered upfront and Manny receiving a card along with one for Tamworth but to no detriment to the score.
2nd half the 2nds started off much better after a strong worded half time talk from the skipper on the importance of discipline and not answering back as this kind of game demanded (as you can imagine I was riveted by this speech!)
Midway through 2nd half a lovely ball played by joe into the forward path of sunny who turned on his boosters to meet the ball and go one on one v the keeper. With a defender rapidly catching him up sunny got into the D and smashed the ball into the top left of the goal.
As the half went on Wulfs kept their discipline well although Arman was set off for tapping the backboard, this causing real pressure on the our goal through consecutive short corners.
Eventually Tamworth converted one of said short corners and the game ultimately ended a 1-1 draw only the second draw at home for Tamworth with the rest being wins…….!!
