Whether you want to chat about team tactics or catch up with a teammate, Teamo provides one channel for all team communications. This can vary from individual chats, group chats, or team chats.
Teamo chat allows members to message each other without their contact details visible to other players. Chats are fully child safe with all Under 18s connected guardians automatically CC'd in and options to Report Chats to the Admin or Welfare Officer.
There is also no way for general members to delete a chat message, so the club will be able to see every piece of communication regarding all members.
Only admins are able to delete a chat message, this will hide it and effectively stop other people from seeing the message. However, admins will still see the message and be able to make a report of it.
Quote messages to draw attention to the specific message you are responding to.
If you want to focus on something, make the text look bold. For this, you need to place an asterisk (*) before and after the string you want to make bold. You can make single or multiple words bold in this way.
Just like bold, you can also make any text in the italics font. If you want to make any string in the italics font, just type an underscore (_) before and after.
There is now an option for an admin to ‘delete’ a message. This will hide it and effectively stop other people from seeing the message, however, admins will be able to see the message and be able to make a report of it. This allows us to stay compliant with our anti-bullying policies and allows the club to hide any sensitive or inappropriate information immediately.
Broadcast messaging allows you to send a message to a targeted list of contacts and reach more people, quicker. It provides the perfect mix of the immedicancy of sending a message to all with the effectiveness of a one-to-one conversation.
They appear as a personalised message, inviting a reply, but will not fill your Chats as they will not appear unless you already have a chat with the individual or the recipient replies.
No problem! We understand that at times, you may want to send urgent messages to recipients app's and via email so you can choose to send a copy of your Broadcast to member's via email too.
Note: This process is the same on the desktop!
To start a chat with another member of your team, head to Chats and go to the New Chat icon in the top right corner and choose from the options - Individual, Team, Group, 1-2 Many, Support.
Note: Depending on your standing within the club, you might not see some of these options.
To archive a chat, select the Chat and tap the Chat name at the top of the screen. Select Archive Chat under the list of chat participants.
Once you have selected your team for a match, head to the fixture and select Chat just below the team sheet.
Note: You can only do this if you are in the teamsheet. You cannot make a group chat for an event that you are not in!
To add a participant - head to Chats and open the Group chat. Tap the Group name at the top to open the Group Info page. Scroll to the bottom and select Add Participant.
Removing a participant works in a similar way. Head into the chat and click on the Group name. From here tap on the user you wish to remove and select Remove.
Note: You will not be able to add or remove participants from Team chats in the same way!
Yes - Head to the chat and open it. Tap the Group name at the top to open the Group Info page. To edit the name, click the name and edit it to what you'd like!
To edit the photo, tap the image and choose a picture from your phone library, or take one right there!
Due to child protection reasons, you are unable to fully remove a chat from Teamo. Instead you can Archive them (see next FAQ). If for any reason, messages including personal information/details are accidentally posted in a public group chat and do need to be removed, please get in touch with us.
To view archived chats, head to Chats and pull down the screen and select Archived Messages. This will be just above Support chat. Tap into your chat you wish to unarchive, click the Chat Name at the top and select Unarchive Chat from under the list of participants.
For an individual chat, in the bottom right corner you will see some ticks next to the time stamp of the message.
If you see two ticks, it means that your message has been sent and delivered.
If you only see one tick, it means that the message has been sent, but has not been delivered yet.
If you see a paper plane icon, it means the message is currently sending.
Clicking on the message and pressing Info will give you more information about is a user has read it. This is especially useful in a Group Chat message as you can see who has and has not seen it.
In an Individual Chat the recipient's profile icon will appear beside your message if they have read it.
In Teamo - 'Sent' means that we have processed the notification and delivered means that the recipient has opened the app on their phone.
Yes, you can do this. Tap into the Chat you want to do this to. Just under the Contact Name, or Group Chat Name, there will be the options to Mute the conversation for a certain period of time or to turn notifications off for the chat.
Open a chat and select the paperclip icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. This will allow you to either add a GIF, any media from your device or a link something from your google drive.
Note: If you are attaching a document, it will need to be in a PDF form to send.
To quote a message, simply hold down on the message you'd like to quote and click Quote.
To delete a message, simply hold down on the message you'd like to delete and click Delete.
This will hide it and effectively stop other people from seeing the message, however, admins will be able to see the message and be able to make a report of it.
