Event Creation

Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about creating and managing events for your team. Whether you’re a Captain or a Manager, Teamo makes it easy to set up and organise Fixtures, Training Sessions, and Social Events.

What Types of Events Can I Add?

Teamo allows you to create three main types of events for your team:

  1. Fixture / Match
  2. Training Event
  3. Social Event

You can upload all the necessary details in advance, and your players can easily access this information directly from the app at any time.

How to Add a Fixture / Match

When creating a fixture or match event, you can choose from several options to customise how you add the event:

Choose Event Type:

  • Single Fixture: Create a single event for one match on your calendar.
  • Multiple Fixtures: For recurring fixtures, such as weekly games at the same time, or to block out dates like every Saturday. This option allows you to add multiple events at once!
  • Import in Bulk: For clubs with many fixtures, use this option to import all fixtures with details in bulk. Go to "Manage Club" to import fixtures for your team or club at once.

Filling Out the Event Information:

When filling out the event information, here’s what you’ll need to provide:

  • Opponent: Enter the team you will be playing against.
  • Date: Tap on the calendar icon to select the match date.
  • Start Time: Tap on the "TBC" (To Be Confirmed) and enter the match time.
  • Location: Choose a venue from your pre-saved locations. Once selected, your players can click on the pin to get directions via Google Maps.
  • Meet Location: Provide instructions on where you'd like your team to meet before the match.
  • Kit: Specify what kit your team is required to wear.
  • Notes: Add any additional information your team should be aware of for the event.
  • Competition: If this fixture is part of a competition, select the relevant competition from the dropdown.
  • Match Fee: If there’s a fee associated with the event, add it here so players will receive an invoice when they play or attend. You can create fees under "Manage Club" > "Club Products."
  • Limited Numbers: If there are limited spaces (e.g., for training or social events), set a limit on the number of players who can attend.

Note - these are not all required fields

Advanced Settings:

  • Prompts: Enable notifications to remind players to confirm their availability, with both a first and final prompt.
  • Availability Deadline: set an availability deadline for users to ensure that members input their availability promptly.
  • Manager Response: Choose to silence response notifications, so they’re collated but your app won’t alert you when a new response comes in.
  • Players Confirm Selection: This feature ensures players confirm their attendance once they’ve been selected for a fixture, giving you peace of mind that the team will show up!
  • Prompt for Notes (if available): Use this option when players can add a note about their availability (e.g., available for home games but not away games).
  • Draft event:  lets you select your team from the availability pool without players seeing the event. When enabled, players can’t view the event until their selection is confirmed. This ensures only finalised teams are shown.
  • Team sheet Visible: Captains and Managers can share fixtures as webpages or through social media/email. You can choose whether to include the team sheet.
  • Players See Availability: Toggle this on if you want players to see each other’s availability responses.

How to Add a Training Event

Creating a training event is similar to adding a match/fixture. You’ll need to fill in all relevant details, but you can also choose to make it a paid event. If you enable the payment toggle, you can add a training fee or pass for the event. Additionally, you can create training events for multiple teams, unlike fixtures, which are limited to one team.

How to Add a Social Event

For social events, you’ll need to select the guests (e.g., which teams are involved). You can also add tickets to the event, such as for an end-of-season award dinner, including the cost of food.
