Buying a membership is simpler, payouts are easier to read, and league tables come to your club website. Here’s what we shipped in August.
Much of August went into money: how members pay for a membership, when a payment plan actually takes the money, and how a TeamoPay payout breaks down once it reaches the club. Club websites gained league tables and new-look pages. Broadcasts can now be formatted, and the rebuilt registration question editor is on for every club.
Here are the highlights.
🧾 Buying a membership: one question, asked once
For members and parents buying a membership on TeamoPay, and the treasurers who look after it:
- Pick a collection day once. The collection day is asked for once, at the same point whichever way you came in, and choosing it confirms the purchase. The payment method you’ve already saved is offered, including Direct Debit when the money is taken later.
- Only the methods that fit. A basket offers only the payment methods that every item in it allows.
- The total is what’s taken today. The basket total now shows what’s taken today, not the instalment figure.
- “Scheduled” counts. A collection that’s authorised but not yet taken reads “Scheduled”, and it meets (and clears) the team’s membership requirement.
🔁 Payment plans that take money when they should
A payment plan whose first collection falls later now schedules that collection instead of taking the money straight away. Direct Debits can be set up without a token payment, and instalments and any charge over £100 now check with the payer before a saved card is used.

🏦 TeamoPay payouts: by team, by group, and no surprises
- Read a payout your way. You can now read a payout by team or by group, as well as by product type and section. There’s a month view on the Enhanced payouts page, and adjustments are their own lines.
- A warning before payouts stop. Adyen requires TeamoPay accounts to be verified periodically. Your verification status now shows on the TeamoPay view, and admins get a digest ahead of the deadline, tiered by how close it is.

🏆 Your club website: league tables and a new look
- League tables. Club websites can now show league tables from Play-Cricket, England Hockey, England Rugby and FA Full-Time, plus a league-table strip on the club homepage where you set which tables appear and how many.
- Match content on event pages. The team image, scorecard and league table are back on an event’s page, with the match details last.
- New-look templates. New-look templates for your news, calendar, team and article pages, and for the footer.

👥 Members, registration and imports
- The new registration question editor is on for every club. The two-pane editor — the question list on the left, the editor and a live preview on the right — is out of early access and is now the default everywhere.
- Moving to Teamo? Bring balances with you. When you import members from another system, each member’s opening balance can now come in with them. An import that would leave a child without a guardian is refused outright, rather than half-applied.
- Find recent sign-ups. A new Joined: search criterion lets you find, and export, recent sign-ups on their own. Day counts now count completed days only.
- Sort any column. Every column in the Members Centre and Payment Centre tables now sorts, and a guardian listed against a charge says why they’re there.
- All Seasons for every admin. The All Seasons option in the Team Payments season filter is now there for every admin.

💬 Messages and help
- Format your broadcasts. The broadcast composer now does bold, italics, lists and links, and broadcasts show formatted when they arrive.
- Reach your team manager from Get Help. For members: Get Help can now put you straight in touch with a manager of one of your teams, as well as Teamo support.

📧 Club email
If your club email runs through Teamo:
- Hand a mailbox over properly. When you create a mailbox for someone, send them a setup link so they choose their own password, rather than you picking one and passing it on.
- Reset a password yourself. Admins can reset the password on a hosted mailbox, with a pending indicator while the change goes through.

🎓 Academy
The Academy screens now share the same look as the rest of the app, with a rebuilt role picker and a tidier coach-review header.
📶 Refresh that shows its progress
Refresh now shows live progress while it clears the app’s stored data, and the loading screen stays up until the clear-out is done. The “Taking too long? Reload” button now works. Refresh checks the data has really gone, can’t hang waiting, and won’t start while you’re offline, so you’re never left with nothing to reload from. And the app now recovers after a Refresh, rather than stalling.
🔧 Plus 62 fixes
We also shipped 62 fixes in August, including: a guardian clicking the opt-in link in the season email now confirms the whole family, not just themselves; “Mark all as read” in chat clears your unread messages and takes you back to the list; and training attendance summaries no longer count the coaches and managers running the session alongside the players.
