Teamo now shows each member what matters to them, and less of what doesn’t.
Not everyone at a club needs the same screen. Over the last few months we’ve tidied the navigation, given each role its own welcome, gathered the things that need a member’s attention into one place, and rebuilt the club page for desktop.
🧭 What it is
A simpler Teamo is a set of changes to what people see first:
- A tidier navigation, for everyone. The decluttered navigation is now the default, from app version 2.2.28.
- A welcome that fits the person. The welcome on Home comes in four versions, one for each role.
- “Needs you”. An actions menu on the member dashboard that gathers what needs your attention.
- A More menu with the right things in it. Tasks is there for everyone, and on mobile TeamoPay has its own entry.
- A club page built for desktop. Club news and groups up front, with the teams drawer pinned.
👥 Who it’s for
- Every member: players, parents and coaches who want to open Teamo and see what’s theirs to do.
- Admins onboarding their club: you can point new members to their welcome on Home and to “Needs you”.
📱 How to use it
1. Start with your welcome on Home
The welcome deck you see depends on your role, and it’s connected to availability, selection and calendar sync. When you’re done with it, tap Hide. Each role’s deck has its own Hide, and once hidden it stays hidden.
2. Check “Needs you”
On the member dashboard, open the Needs you actions menu. It gathers what needs your attention in one place, so there’s one place to check instead of several.

3. Look in More
Tasks is now in the More menu for everyone, linked by role, and its popover opens under the button you tapped. On mobile, TeamoPay has its own entry there too, with its real logo and Apply as an icon. Views that don’t work on a phone are no longer offered there.

4. On desktop, open the club page
The club page is now built around club news and your groups, with the teams drawer pinned. The Club Calendar opens in the side drawer.

✅ What’s changed
New and improved
- Four welcome decks, one per role, each with its own Hide. A hidden deck no longer comes back each time you open Teamo.
- “Needs you” on the member dashboard.
- The club page, rebuilt for desktop, around club news and groups, with a pinned teams drawer.
- Tasks in the More menu, for everyone.
- TeamoPay on mobile has its own entry in More. New to it? See TeamoPay in the Help Centre.
- Sync Month from the club calendar. Clubs linked to GMS or the FA can now run Sync Month from a section’s More menu on the club calendar.
- The “we’ve tidied up” banner has been retired. The tidier navigation is now the default, so the banner announcing it has gone.
Smoother on desktop and at sign-in
- Feed images load on desktop. Images in the Home feed now load in a desktop browser, and the loading spinner clears once they’re in.
- You can see there’s more below. On desktop the scrollbar now shows without hovering, so a long calendar makes it clear there’s more to scroll to.
- Full Team Stats and the Attendance Report open on desktop.
- Signing in with a code goes straight through. After “Verification successful” the dashboard starts and everything responds, without reloading the app.
- One prompt at a time. The “Allow desktop notifications” prompt now appears only when you use Teamo at web2.teamo.chat, and on a first sign-in on the web the season opt-in waits its turn instead of being skipped.
- Tidier menus. A tall menu panel now gathers its loose links into one column.
- No early “Club Questionnaire Unavailable”. The message no longer appears while the check is still loading, so clubs that have a questionnaire don’t see it.
