Feature Focus: TeamoPay payouts, by team and by group

Read every TeamoPay payout by team or by group, a month at a time, and hear about verification before it holds up a payout.

Over August and September we reworked how TeamoPay payouts read for treasurers. A payout now breaks down the way your club is organised, the figures line up with your bank, and the payout screens work properly on a phone.

💷 What it is

A payout is the money TeamoPay sends to your club’s bank account. The Enhanced payouts page shows what each one is made of. You can now read a payout by team or by group, as well as by product type and section, and look at a whole month at a time.

👥 Who it’s for

Treasurers on TeamoPay, and anyone else in the club who checks payouts against the bank statement.

🛠️ How to read a payout

1. Open TeamoPay

On a phone, TeamoPay now has its own entry in the More menu.

2. Go to Enhanced payouts and pick the account

If your club pays out to more than one bank account, the Enhanced payouts and transactions views now follow the account you’ve switched to.

3. Choose the month

Use the new month view. Payouts are placed by the date they were paid out, so each one lands in the right period.

4. Break it down

Read the payout by team, by group (where your club uses groups), by product type or by section. Adjustments now sit on their own lines rather than being folded into income. The arrow on a payout opens its refunds and chargebacks.

5. Take it to your spreadsheet

The columns in the payout CSV now add up when you open it in a spreadsheet.

🔔 Keeping payouts arriving

• A warning before verification lapses. Our payment provider asks for periodic verification, and some clubs were only finding out it had lapsed when a payout failed. Your verification status now shows on the TeamoPay view, and admins get a reminder ahead of the deadline that becomes more urgent as the deadline gets closer.
• A banner that tells you which is which. An open query from our payment provider now shows as something that needs your attention. The “blocked” warning is kept for payouts that really are held.
• A payout trigger with a £50 floor. The balance that triggers an automatic payout can no longer be set below £50, the lowest amount our payment provider will act on.
• Setup that says where it stands. If a TeamoPay setup didn’t finish, Payment Accounts now shows “Setup incomplete” rather than Live, and points you to support. Setup now sets your club’s currency first, and onboarding tells you which field is holding up Continue.

📊 Figures that match your bank

• Refunds counted once. A refund or chargeback that falls across two payout periods is counted in one, so the payout agrees with the bank.
• Refunds where you expect them. A refund now appears in any date range that includes its date, and part refunds appear in Reports.
• Refunded means refunded. In the Payments Centre and Team Payments, the Memberships table no longer shows a member as Paid once their current-season invoice has been refunded.
• The full Payouts table. The date has room to breathe, and the right-hand column is no longer cut off.

📱 TeamoPay on your phone

• Its own place in the More menu, with the real TeamoPay logo. Views that don’t work on a phone are no longer offered there.
• Breakdowns scroll. The Gross, Fee and Net columns in a payout breakdown are now within reach.
• The breakdown arrow is on screen, so you can open a payout’s refunds and chargebacks from your phone.

🧾 Say why you refunded

When you issue a refund, you can now add a reason, with one-tap presets for the common ones. It’s optional. The reason shows on the invoice in Teamo, but it’s left off the printed invoice.
