Qualifications & Checks lets club admins record coaching badges, DBS checks, safeguarding certificates, and any other credentials against member profiles. Each qualification tracks the type, awarded date, expiry date, registration number, and current status.
Who can manage qualifications?
Club admins and managers with contact editing permissions can add, edit, and remove qualifications on member profiles.
Where do I find qualifications on a member's profile?
Open a member’s profile (Contacts > tap a member). The Qualifications & Checks section appears above the First Aid Trained toggle. If the member has qualifications recorded, they’ll be listed there with status badges.

How do I add a qualification?
The Add Qualification form — select a type, set dates and registration number
What if my qualification type isn't in the list?
Tap “Can’t find it? Create a new type” below the dropdown. Give it a name and category tag (Coaching, Safety/DBS, Leadership or Other). The new type is immediately available for all members in your club.
What if my club has no qualification types yet?
The first time you open the add screen, you’ll see a prompt to create your first type. Tap the button, give it a name and category, and you’re ready to go.
Can I edit an existing qualification?
Yes. Tap any qualification in the list on the member’s profile to open it for editing. You can change the status, dates, registration number and notes. You can also remove it using the Remove button at the bottom.
What categories are available?
How does expiry tracking work?
When you record an expiry date, Teamo automatically monitors it:
Do I need to manually change the status when something expires?
No. Teamo derives the displayed status from the expiry date. Even if the stored status says “Valid”, the profile and Members Centre will show “Expired” if the date has passed.
What if a qualification has no expiry date?
It will show as “Valid” indefinitely. This is typical for qualifications like an Enhanced DBS that don’t have a fixed expiry in some sports.
How do I see qualifications across all members?
Go to Members Centre. There’s a qualifications column (medal icon) that you can toggle on via the column settings. It appears next to the NGB Registration column.
What do the colours on the medal icon mean?
The icon also shows a count badge with the total number of qualifications for that member.
What are the exception banners?
If any members have expired or soon-to-expire qualifications, you’ll see banners in the Members Centre sidebar:
Can I filter the member list by qualification status?
Yes. Click an exception banner, and the member list filters to show only affected members. Click the banner again or clear the filter to return to the full list.
Currently, qualifications are managed by club admins. Members cannot add or edit their own qualifications. This may change in a future update.
Qualification data is visible in the Members Centre and on individual profiles. CSV export of qualification data is planned for a future update.
No. You can add as many qualifications as needed per member, and create as many qualification types as your club requires.
No. The First Aid Trained toggle remains as a quick indicator. Qualifications & Checks is a more detailed system for tracking specific certificates with dates and registration numbers. You can use both.
