Site Settings

The Site Settings area is where you can configure the foundational elements of your website. From here, you can adjust your site's design, optimise for search engines, and ensure that important communications go to the right place.

Default Site Image

We highly recommend uploading a default site image. This image will appear as the header image on any pages that don’t have a unique header image set.

Recommended Dimensions: 1290 x 313 pixels.

Uploading this image ensures consistency across your website, giving it a polished, professional look.

Website Colours

The colours of your website are automatically pulled from the colour palette of your club’s Teamo account. However, you can modify these colours in the Site Settings to create a custom look for your website that differs from the app.

Key Colour Settings:

  • Primary Colour: This is the main colour of your site, used for important buttons, headings, and highlights.
  • Secondary Colour: A contrasting colour to the primary, ideal for accents, highlights, and ensuring readability with white text.

Contact Us Email Addresses

To manage inquiries that come through your Contact Us page or any other contact forms on your website, you can specify which email addresses should receive these messages.

You can add multiple email addresses for different types of inquiries (e.g., general inquiries, membership questions, etc.), ensuring that messages go to the appropriate person.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is essential for improving your website’s visibility in search engine results. A well-optimised site will help your pages appear higher up in search results, bringing in more traffic.

SEO Features:

  • Unique Titles: Ensure every page has a descriptive, unique title.
  • H1 Headings: Add relevant H1 headings to your pages.
  • Page Descriptions: Write compelling page descriptions to improve your site's visibility in search results.

SEO is especially useful for clubs whose names are not location-specific, helping your club appear in searches like “rugby clubs in [your location].”

SEO Tip:

Consider adding location keywords in your page titles and descriptions to help users find your club through local search terms (e.g., "rugby clubs in North London").

Redirect Map

If you are moving from an existing website provider to Teamo, you can use the Redirect Map to ensure that old links automatically redirect to your new site.

  • How it Works: When users click on an old URL, they will be redirected to the new version of the page.
  • SEO Benefit: Redirects pass SEO value from old URLs to new URLs, helping preserve your search engine ranking.

Site Content Settings

In the Site Content Settings, you can toggle various settings to control how content is displayed and managed on your site.

Publish Events Using Website Template:

  • This option links your Teamo events directly to the website template, allowing event details like results to be automatically pulled through to your site.
  • Turn on if you want your events to be displayed on your website.

Team News (Match Reports):

  • When enabled, team admins, managers, and captains can write and submit match reports for events. These reports are visible to the team until they are approved by an editor or webmaster.
  • Turn on if you want to allow match reports to be written and displayed.

Promote Featured Content:

  • This option enables content contributors to submit content for review and potential feature on the homepage. Admins and webmasters can review these submissions and decide what appears on the featured section of the homepage.

Turn on if you want content to be pushed to the webmaster for possible promotion.

The Site Settings area is an essential part of managing your website. It allows you to customize the look and feel of your site, optimize it for search engines, and control how content is managed and displayed. Take some time to review these settings and ensure that your website reflects your club’s identity and needs.

Site Settings Overview - Desktop

How can I change the colours of our site?

The colours of your site automatically pull through from your club's Teamo account. You can change the website colours by heading to the Site Settings in the website area of Teamo on desktop. On the right hand side you will see the option to edit the site colours.

Primary colour is the main colour of your site. You should also select a contrast to your primary colour. The secondary colour should contrast with white and be used for highlights or if the primary colour doesn’t contrast with white.

What is the default site image?

This image will appear as the header image on any pages where a unique image is not set as the header. The dimensions for header images are: 1290x313

What is a Staging URL?

This is the link to the preview of your site, allowing you to view a fully working version of your site before you set it live to the public.

Our Featured Reel gets cropped on mobile browsers, what can we do about it?

You have two options for how your featured reel appears on mobile:

BOXED - The main image stays above the text, therefore maintaining the landscape nature of the image.

LAYERED - The text is layered on top and the image is stretched to fit in a portrait manner.
