Site Settings

The Site Settings area allows you to set up some of the basics to get your site up and running. From here you can edit the colour palette, improve your site's SEO and choose a default site image.

Default Site Image

We strongly recommend that you upload a default site image. This image will appear as the header image on any pages where a unique image is not set as the header. The dimensions for header images are: 1290x313

Website Colours

The colours of your website are automatically pulled through to match the colour palette used for your club's Teamo account. These can be edited so that the website uses a different colour palette to the app.

Primary colour is the main colour of your site. You should also select a contrast to your primary colour. The secondary colour should contrast with white and be used for highlights or if the primary colour doesn’t contrast with white.

Contact Us Email Addresses

When you create a contact page or choose to use the "contact us" section on your homepage, enquires can be directed to specific email addresses. In the site settings, you can add the email address you want your contact us forms to go to.

You can add different email addresses for different types of enquiries.

Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the practice of increasing both the quality and quantity of website traffic through non-paid (also known as "organic") search engine results. Optimising your site will help deliver better information to search engines so that your content can be properly indexed and displayed within search results.

Our basic SEO review function allows you to check that all pages have the basics: unique titles, H1 headings and descriptions. Having well named pages with high quality descriptions gives your pages more chance to appear higher up in search engines. This is particularly useful for clubs who's names aren't related to the area in which they are located. For example, if you are a rugby club in North London but your club's name doesn't contain a location, you may wish to reference the area in a page title and/or page description for when potential new joiners search Google for "rugby clubs in North London".

Redirect Map

If you are moving your website from an existing provider it will be useful to use our redirect map. This allows you to redirect any previous links to the new versions of the pages. A redirect signals a permanent redirect from one URL to another, meaning all users that request an old URL will be automatically sent to a new URL. A redirect passes all SEO from the old URL to the new URL.

Site Content Settings

In the Site Content settings you have three settings.

Publish Events Use Website Template - This means that Teamo events will use the website template and link to the website instead of the generic publish event URL. This needs to be turned on if you want results to automatically be pulled through to your website.

Team News (match reports) - If you turn this option on, admins, managers and captains will be able to write reports for any of their events or send a link to team members to contribute. All articles will only be visible to the team until approved by an editor/webmaster.

Promote Featured Content - This makes user/in-app functionality available for content contributors to be able to push content and events to the webmaster for review and featuring on the club website homepage.

How can I change the colours of our site?

The colours of your site automatically pull through from your club's Teamo account. You can change the website colours by heading to the Site Settings in the website area of Teamo on desktop. On the right hand side you will see the option to edit the site colours.

Primary colour is the main colour of your site. You should also select a contrast to your primary colour. The secondary colour should contrast with white and be used for highlights or if the primary colour doesn’t contrast with white.

What is the default site image?

This image will appear as the header image on any pages where a unique image is not set as the header. The dimensions for header images are: 1290x313

What is a Staging URL?

This is the link to the preview of your site, allowing you to view a fully working version of your site before you set it live to the public.

Our Featured Reel gets cropped on mobile browsers, what can we do about it?

You have two options for how your featured reel appears on mobile:

BOXED - The main image stays above the text, therefore maintaining the landscape nature of the image.

LAYERED - The text is layered on top and the image is stretched to fit in a portrait manner.
