Getting Started with Your TeamoSite

Assign a Webmaster

The webmaster is responsible for:

  • Accessing and editing the website structure and pages.
  • Approving requests for items to appear on the homepage Featured Reel.

While there’s no limit to the number of webmasters, it’s best to keep the role limited to a few key people for consistency.

How to Assign a Webmaster:

  1. Go to Manage Club > Manage Club Roles.
  2. Click Add a Club Role/Office.
  3. Select the necessary person as a Webmaster.
  4. Once assigned, the webmaster will see a Website option in the main menu (left-hand side) on Teamo desktop. This gives them access to all the tools needed to build and manage the website.

How to Add a Webmaster - Desktop

Can my club have a website?

Any club using Teamo can start building their website right away! Firstly, a club admin needs to assign a Webmaster(s). They can do this by going to Manage > Manage Club Roles > Add Clubs Roles/Officers > Assign a Webmaster. Webmasters will have a ‘Website’ option on the left hand side of their Teamo on desktop. From here, they can start building the club website.

How much does a club website cost?

Teamo club websites are completely free if your club is already using Teamo to collect your club’s membership payments!

We’ve finished building our website, can we go live now?

Great news! Speak to your account manager to arrange setting your site live. If you don’t have an account manager please Message Teamo Support. We will need you to provide the domain name that you own, and any MX records that can be found in your domain host account (these allow you to maintain any email addresses that are linked to your domain name). You will need access to your domain host account to set your site live.

Do you supply domain names?

No. We believe that you should own your domain name through a separate domain host account. If you need any advice on choosing a domain host or transferring your domain name to a new host please get in touch.

How do I set up my custom domain for my Teamo website?

Step 1: Tell Us Your Domain

Contact Teamo support with:

  • Your club name in Teamo
  • The domain you want to use

We'll configure our servers and send you the nameservers.

Step 2: Update Your Nameservers

In your domain provider's control panel:

  1. Find DNS or Nameserver settings

Replace existing nameservers with the ones we provide:

ns-590.awsdns-09.net

ns-1838.awsdns-37.co.uk

ns-1027.awsdns-00.org

ns-266.awsdns-33.com

Step 3: Wait for Propagation

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate worldwide. Usually it's faster (1-2 hours).

Important information: Email may be affected

Changing nameservers to ours will disconnect any email forwarding you have set up with your domain provider.

Before changing nameservers, note down:

  • Your current MX records
  • Any TXT/CNAME records for email validation
  • Your email forwarding rules

Send these to support, and we'll add them to your new DNS config.

What happens if our email stops working?

Contact support immediately with:

  1. Your email provider details
  2. Your old MX records (if you have them)
  3. Any TXT records for email verification (SPF, DKIM, etc.)

We'll add these to your DNS configuration.

Alternative: CNAME Record (Email-Safe Option)

If you want to keep your existing DNS and email:

  1. Ask support for a CNAME record instead of nameservers
  2. Add only the CNAME record in your DNS
  3. Your email settings remain untouched

This option requires more back-and-forth but preserves your email setup.
