The 3s turned up to Tilsley Park looking to ensure they maintained their 100% record at home this season and to entertain a crowd that had braved the cold to watch, and boy did they deliver.
Abingdon started strong with a few narrow misses in the opening exchanges Abingdon finally broke through in the 8th minute with JB driving the ball into the D solo and firing the ball away with incredible precision.
From then Abingdon never looked back and began opening up Banbury with every venture forward. A well taken flick from Rich Sworder was followed by a brilliantly worked goal which was started by our keeper and finished by Charlie arriving just in time at the back post meant the 3s finished the half comfortably in front but hungry for more. 4 goals in the space of 10 minutes put the contest beyond a doubt as Abingdon surged forward relentlessly and finished the game with 9 goals.
Despite the scoreline both sides engaged in good sportsmanship to give the ball back after a pair of bullies.
