Bloxwich Hockey Club saw the return of their club 7 a-side day on Sunday 8th October, held at their club house on a grass pitch. This used to be a annual event hosted by our long serving member Alan Leach who sadly passed away. In honour of Al, we named the event after him and decided to use the day to raise money for charity.
This year we decided to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. This is a charity close to our hearts.
During the day we held a guess the weight of the cake competition, a football card and all of the players match fees were donated alongside a Just Giving page being set up. Pelsall Windows kindly donated £100 towards the donations.
In total Bloxwich Hockey Club are proud to say they raised £538 to donate to Prostate Cancer UK.
We are grateful to everyone involved, and we wish a big thank you to Hayley Scott for organising.
