Clubmark

Epsom Hockey Club has been awarded the ClubMark accredidation by England Hockey.

ClubMark is a cross-sport accreditation scheme for community clubs that has raised the standards of delivery, welfare and programmes within clubs. It shows they can demonstrate that they are running a good ship and adopting best practice. In effect it’s the “stamp of approval/kite mark” for a hockey club. It is particularly focused towards junior sections and there are several key elements that they look at:

· Leadership

· Welfare and Safeguarding

· Facilities

· People (coaches, volunteers)

· Different ways to play

· Being friendly, welcoming and social

· Having good community connections

· Stretching and developing those that want it

There are less than 100 clubs across England who have this.
