Welcome to the February Edition of Morpeth Men's Hockey Club Newsletter
At the recent Morpeth Cricket Hockey & Tennis Club AGM, Helen Smith was made a Life member. Helen has looked after the Junior Section Finances for numerous years and assisted Lyn Watkins with the Admin of the section. Helen is now also Treasurer of Morpeth CHTC and we would like to congratulate Helen on her, well deserved Life Membership.
Morpeth CHTC are currently investigating a Green Energy Grant that will enable the club to transition to LED lighting throughout our site, including our Hockey Floodlights. We will keep members informed of any developments
Another Month, another Umpiring appeal! The club are actively seeking new umpires, we are relying on a few umpires to cover all of our Men's and Ladies games, most of these umpires are players also and are missing playing games so we can fulfil games. We need to increase our pool of umpires and spread the load.
To remind members, Umpires will receive:-
Umpire Course Paid For
Free Whistle and Cards.
Free Umpiring Polo Shirt
Match Fee Credit for umpiring
On top of this, the Mens Committee are looking at further incentives for Umpires, which will be announced in due course.
