Clubmark Achieved !

We are delighted to be able to confirm that the Club has now achieved ClubMark status.

Special thanks to Junior Administrator Bex Towlerton who has been leading on this significant Club project for many many months and has organised and rallied many of you to consider and document so many different aspects of how we deliver hockey at Richmond HC,

For those of you who are not aware of what ClubMark "is" the description at the bottom of this article is taken from the England Hockey website and sums it up better than the writer of this article can "

The hard work put in documenting development plans and procedures will benefit everyone going forwards and has given us a real focus.

Once again many thanks to Bex and also to Catalina Giglio (Junior Administrator), Royce Waters (Director of Hockey) Mike Rose (Club Chairman) Claire Griffiths (Welfare Officer) and Andrew Denye (Men's Club Captain) for their respective efforts in us reaching this milestone.

Well done all !

What is ClubMark?

England Hockey ClubMark is designed to set a minimum operating standard for clubs to achieve and ensure that the appropriate risk assessments, policies and procedures are in place. It is a tool for clubs to check that they have the basics in place. Many clubs will already be meeting the ClubMark standard and in some cases going above and beyond the minimum requirement, but attainment of ClubMark is the evidence for clubs and their members that these levels are being systematically met.
