Junior Kit

When joining RHC we do not expect players to have all the kit. However for your first session a Hockey Stick, Mouthguard and Shin Pads are all essential. When you go on to purchase your RHC kit a lot of players have their names put on the back of their shirt and this can be done by our Club Shop Total Hockey upon request.

MOUTH GUARD

NO MOUTH GUARD sadly means NO HOCKEY for all ages.

TOP TIP – keep a spare in the car glove compartment/hockey bag/rucksack etc

HOCKEY SHIN PADS (Not Football)

Hockey balls hit ankles & shins; unfortunately football shin pads do not offer enough protection.

ASTRO SHOES

Trainers do not offer enough protection for your child’s feet & ankles, they also do not offer enough stability in wet conditions - trainers may be used initially for new players in the U7 & U8 Squad but should be replaced by Hockey Shoes.

WATER BOTTLE

Please do not forget.

Snacks are great at the end of training, please do not bring any nuts or food items with nuts to the club.
