The Club has grown considerably over the last ten years and successfully maintained membership during the pandemic disruption. Playing hockey is the biggest reason for membership, but the vast majority of members participate in the wide range of social events arranged by the Club. Our junior and adult training camps; arranged in conjunction with GW Sport, have also proved very popular with members.
185 adult playing members, coming from all around the local area
100 social, honorary and VIP members keeping us rounded and grounded in tradition and new opportunities
7 men’s teams
5 women’s teams
Adults and juniors from 13 upwards playing League hockey across East Anglia every Saturday between September and April
350 juniors (under 8’s to 18) learning skills and teamwork, from all of the local schools
30 adults playing ‘Back to hockey’ a project that encourages players to return to the game and enjoy the sport and social events that the Club has to offer
We are considering providing Walking Hockey and FlyerZ (disabled) hockey from next season.
Our facilities are shared with Joyce Frankland Academy, Newport, and are also available to hire by local sports and community groups.
To properly serve our members, visiting teams and guests we need to improve our facilities. The improvements detailed on the following pages will prepare our Club for the next generation...
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
