Clubs can now sell player sponsorships to local businesses in Teamo. This guide walks through it in three parts, with a screenshot for each step.
- The club sets up player sponsorship: a five-step set-up, then share the links.
- A local business sponsors a player: from the link to the receipt.
- The club approves, and the sponsor goes live: in the app and on the website.
📄 Prefer it as a document? Download the Player Sponsorship guide (PDF). To manage your sponsors once they're live, see Player Sponsors.
Screenshots are from our test club, Ring Pass Delft. The app and the shop take on each club's own colours, so yours will look different.
🛠️ Part 1: The club sets up player sponsorship
Who: a club admin, in Teamo on a computer.
01 · Manage Club
Open Manage in the left-hand bar.

Everything for running the club is here. Club Products is where sponsorship lives.
02 · Club Products
Scroll to Finances and open Club Products.

03 · Your products

Every product for the season is listed here. A sponsorship shows its places at a glance: Live, Paid, to approve, Held at checkout, Available.
04 · New product → Sponsorship
Click + New product, then Sponsorship: "Players, teams and supporters, sold by link".

Sponsorship is a step-by-step set-up. It takes about two minutes.
05 · Step 1: What can people sponsor?
Tick A player.

How it works in three steps: you choose what can be sponsored → you share a link → they pay, you approve. One sponsor per player per season. Their logo appears on the player's card, team page and profile. Team and club packages are coming next.
06 · Step 2: Prices and paying
Set a season price, a monthly price, or both.

Season, paid up front, or monthly to the season end; Teamo works out the total. Payment is by card through TeamoPay.
07 · Step 3: Who can be sponsored
Switch on the teams whose players can be sponsored.

Junior players are never offered by name. Players not offered keeps anyone off the list without saying why, and players with no photo consent are left off automatically.
08 · Step 4: What sponsors get
Choose where a sponsor appears and add your own extras (e.g. "Logo on the clubhouse sponsor board"). Choose your Product Manager and add a message for the link page.

Sponsors appear on the website gallery, the player's team page, the app's Squad tab and the player's profile. Every sponsor is approved by you first. The Product Manager (shown with their photo) is told by Teamo about every sponsorship bought, so it gets approved quickly.
09 · Step 5: Check and turn on
Read it through, then click Turn on and get links.

Everything is in plain sentences, with Change next to each line. Where you'll find it: Club Products, Sponsors and Payments.
10 · Sponsorship is on: share a link

Three kinds of link:
- Everyone available, for your newsletter or social media;
- One team, for a team's WhatsApp group;
- One player, for a business you've already spoken to.
Nothing goes public until someone pays and you approve.
11 · A link for one team
Choose team, pick the team, Copy.

12 · The sponsorship page

Everything in one place: the places bar, "N waiting for you to approve · Review", prices, who can be sponsored, what sponsors get and the Product Manager, each with Edit. Also money paid so far, and a Selling switch to pause new sales.
13 · The Sponsors screen

Every player, with who sponsors them or Copy link. The tiles count Live, To approve, Held, Available and Not offered.
14 · Share a player's link
Copy link on a player's row. Choose just this player, any available player in the team or any available player in the club. Then Copy, WhatsApp or Email.

🏪 Part 2: A local business sponsors a player
Who: a local business, Delft Bakery, using the link on a phone or computer. No Teamo account needed.
15 · The club's sponsor page

"Sponsor a player at Ring Pass Delft. 15 players looking for a sponsor." Each player shows as Available or Sponsored.
16 · A player's sponsor page
Continue.

The player's photo card shows where "Your logo here" will go. Your business appears on lists every place, and they choose how to pay. "The club checks your logo and link before it goes live, usually within 2 days. If they can't use it, you get a full refund."
17 · Your business

"Ollie's place is held for you for 15 minutes. Nobody else can buy it in that time."
18 · Business details and logo
Enter the business name, upload the logo (PNG or JPG, up to 2 MB), and add a website and an optional strapline. Then Continue to pay.

19 · Checkout: your details
Enter an email for the receipt, a name, a phone number and a billing address, and agree to share the details with the club.

The business name is already filled in.
20 · If they already have a Teamo account

If the email or phone number is already on a Teamo account, they can Log in or Change details.
21 · Checkout: payment
Pay with Google Pay (or Apple Pay), or by card. Tick the terms and click Pay.

Card details go to the payment provider; the club never sees them.
22 · Order confirmed

"Your sponsorship · Waiting for the club". Three steps: Paid → the club checks your logo and link → live with the player. They can Message the club from here.
23 · The receipt

The receipt comes from the club, with its logo. Your sponsorship: the club checks within 2 days, the business is emailed when it's live, and gets a full refund if the club can't use it.
✅ Part 3: The club approves, and the sponsor goes live
Who: the club admin (or the Product Manager).
24 · To approve
Club Products → the sponsorship → Review. Check the business, strapline, link and logo, then click Approve and publish.

"Approving publishes the sponsor to the gallery, the team page and the app." Not happy? Ask for a change, or Reject and refund (in full).
25 · Approved: the website updates itself

Teamo republishes the team's website page automatically. No editing needed.
26 · Live in the app

On the team's Squad tab, the player's card now says Sponsored by with the business's logo and Visit sponsor ↗. Players without a sponsor show Sponsor this player.
