Mixed Masters - another win!

Wilmslow V Alderley  Edge - The Unfriendly Friendly  

Saturday’s fun and games at Phoenix was an ‘Operation’ that went rather smoothly. Wilmlsow had a great game, we had the ‘Monopoly’ on possession, it really did seem like we were ‘toying’ with the opposition.

We utilized the pitch, getting into ‘Space (Hopper)’, firing shots on goal like ‘darts’ and ‘BINGO’, Alderley were ‘Cluedo-less’

By half time we were winning 2-1, goals from Jane and the Boon Meister.

Second half tactics were to stretch the pitch, get high and score more goals!

After the extended old gits half-time break, Alderley came out all guns blazing and scored twice.

Wilmslow’s ‘Frustration’ was palpable, 3-2 down after such a strong start. We were going round the ‘Twister’.

AE had no ‘SUBbuteo’s and were tiring, Dave took full advantage and ‘Kerplunk’ back of the net, it was 3-3.

Tensions were high, Becca and Sarah Hardman did well not to wave any cards as the tackles crunched and the diving became Oscar deserving from the oppo. Miraculously, even Jenna (kindly playing for AE) wasn’t ‘Buckarooed’.

So with the clock running down and thoughts turning to pizza, could the Wilmslow team remain unbeaten……YES.

After a ‘Scrabble’ in the D, Tim managed to ‘CONNECT4’ times wallopping in the winning goal. Such an energetic game, ‘My Little Pony’(tail) nearly came undone. What great teamwork, all the pieces of our tactical ‘jigsaw’ finally came together. We celebrated with ‘Dominoes’ pizza of course.
