"I cannot begin to tell you how much he has enjoyed being part of York Acorn since he was 10 or 11, the great friends he’s made, and the wonderful support he has had from the guys as he has grown up. It’s been absolutely fantastic. Thank you! "

This is a typical response from parents whose children have taken up Rugby League at York Acorn Rugby League Club. Our aim as a club is to offer the opportunity to children of all ages and abilities to learn the game in a safe, positive and friendly environment. You can read more about our club values and aims here.
Training and skills development takes place in a fun and safe environment at the club with the opportunity for competitive Rugby League for older children. We encourage juniors over 13 who are ready and willing to participate in competitive matches in line with RFL guidelines in order to develop their skills as well as competing with their peers throughout Yorkshire.
We have experienced RFL accredited coaches for all our players - for more details, see the Coaching page here.
We also offer taster sessions for beginners to allow them to get a feel for the game and the club - full details of membership can be found on the Membership Fees page here.
For information on Safeguarding, see the Safeguarding section in the New Member's Guide here.

Junior training sessions take place on weekday evenings at the club. This is split into different age groups to ensure appropriate skills and development. We offer training for all ages, starting with our U6 Little Acorns, offering a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment for youngsters starting the game early. We offer taster sessions for those who are not yet sure if they want to take up Rugby League.
We encourage parents to support their children from the touchline and to get involved with the club as social members and to help our junior coaches.

We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
