We are one of only 20 clubs nationally to be recognised in this first year and as such a bit of a pathfinder, collaborating with England Hockey and the other 36 clubs that started the process a year ago. We learnt that as much as no two hockey clubs are the same (different sizes, catchments, cultures, facilities etc) there is a golden thread that runs through the successful ones and the The Great Britain Hockey Talent System Framework tries to capture that.
It provides a common language and a clear understanding for all stakeholders as we all work together to deliver a phenomenal ‘talent pipeline’ of players through exceptional talent development experiences and a talent identification and development system which attracts and excites young people irrespective of their background.
