Thanks for your message!
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Following the sad news last night of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we mourn with the nation the loss of a true, inspirational leader. The Queen was a long standing patron of The FA and over the years made significant contributions to the national game and leaves with us a lasting and indelible legacy.
As a mark of respect, English football has united to postpone all fixtures between 9 - 11 September, along with many other sports who have followed suit to commemorate Her Majesty the Queen.
As a club, Ditton Minors FC would like to express our condolences to the Royal Family and our thoughts are with the president of The FA, HRH The Duke of Cambridge and the whole of the Royal Family.
It is with immediate effect, that all Club activity has been suspended until Monday 12th September. This includes:
We understand that some of our players will be affected by the loss of Her Majesty, and would like to reassure our members that our coaches, managers and Executive Committee are able to support where needed, if you have any concerns, please do reach out to them.
We also appreciate that for many, this weekend signals the start of the football season and some will want to take part in activities and to those, this will be disappointing news, but rest assured, next week, football can resume and we would urge all of our teams to continue to pay their respects during the national period of mourning with a minute silence once our suspension has been lifted.
On behalf of all of our members at Ditton Minors FC, Rest In Peace Your Majesty and thank you for everything.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
