Please Welcome.... DediKate to the DMFC Family!

We are delighted to announce that over the past few months we have been striking a deal with DediKate, a gold licensed football services provider with Kent FA, to provide and enhance a variety of offerings at Ditton Minors FC.

Katie Whitmore is herself a UEFA B Licensed Coach, with a vast amount of experience coaching, including a variety of high level clubs such as Kent PDC, Millwall Lionesses U16 and Millwall Lionesses 1st Team. Further, she has been fortunate enough to coach for teams in Chicago and Detroit! Currently, she also manages the Maidstone Magpies Ladies Vets.

One of our biggest criteria when selecting our coaching partner is their ethos, and having met with Katie on various occasions, she clearly demonstrates our community and grassroots values!

This coaching partnership brings with it a multitude of benefits and opportunities for the club, including the introduction of our new Ditton Minors FC Development Centre, with a dedicated girls pathway.

The new Ditton Minors FC Development Centre will run from a single location, Ditton Junior School and includes the following sessions (all with individual coaches, under Katie's watchful eye);

• Tiny Minors - Mixed, ages 3 & 4
• Mini Minors - Mixed, ages 5 & 6
• Wildcats - Girls, ages 5 - 11
• Squad Girls - Girls, ages 12 - 14

Katie's coaches all come from a grassroots background and have a multitude of their own professional experience, which we believe will really help develop our players!

Not only is there a benefit to the players, but we're delighted that Katie believes, like us, that we should encourage more young people into coaching (see our Pathways Scheme) and actively provides opportunities for young people to work with her and her sessions to improve their coaching ability, with the option to take on a team should they wish into our Under 7s!

Further to the Development Centre, which will run on a Saturday from 3rd September, our existing teams can choose to benefit from this relationship too, with managers having the option to book Katie for a number of their training sessions to provide a different lens to team dynamic and provide some advanced drills! A number of our teams have already taken advantage of this!
