HWHC Talent Academy Cup - Girls
The girls had a very strong start to their four day tournament at Nottingham Hockey Centre with a 6-1 win vs Holcombe TA. On day 2 they faced Beeston TA who went on to finish in the top 3 at the event. After a flurry of goals from the opposition at the start, the girls found their feet and finished with a 3-7 loss. Their third match was against Yorkshire TA and the team secured a well fought 3-2 win.
They finished second in a challenging group and met Old Loughts TA for their crossover match to play for the top 9 spots. The game was an incredibly close contest and despite several great chances in the closing minutes to try and take the lead, it was the opposition who found a third goal just before the final whistle to win 3-2.
Well done to all of the girls for amazing energy and spirit in very toasty conditions. Thank you to all of the parent supporters and the biggest thanks to the coaching team - Harry, Joe & Siofra.
