Boules in the Square

Pétanque Wallingford helped out with Newbury Phoenix Rotary Club’s annual Boules in the Square tournament on the 23rd June. With proper summer weather, local businesses providing ice cream, subsidised beers and a DJ, and a friendly but increasingly competitive spirit, a lot of fun was had. Our members assisted with the rules and scoring. Over £4,700 was raised in aid of Home Start West Berkshire, Newbury Riding for the Disabled, Loose Ends and Time to Talk West Berkshire.
