Teamo in the Community: Spencer Lynx

Spencer Lynx is an award-winning outreach club that was launched by Spencer Hockey Club, and is now an independent registered charity. It is one of the most exciting and successful outreach clubs in the country. The aim of Lynx is to increase diversity in hockey by introducing children from local state schools to the sport, with a particular emphasis on children from low socio-economic and BAME backgrounds.

Teamo has been supporting the Lynx program achieve their goals with free access to the platform. We look forward to continuing this partnership and supporting Spencer Lynx with all the great work they do in the community. 

We chatted to one of their amazing trustees who had this to say about us:

“We are very grateful to Teamo for giving us free access to your team management app. Previously we relied on email as our method of communication but we realised that this was not the best way of contacting our member families, some of whom do not have ready access to emails. We have found that we get responses more quickly via Teamo than we did via email - this is particularly beneficial when we are trying to work out how many teams we will be taking to fixtures. Being able to track attendance is also vital, as we give awards after 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 weeks of training, and Teamo allows us to do this within the App - so much better than having to track everything on a separate spreadsheet. We massively appreciate being able to contact particular groups within our membership eg everyone in Year 5, or everyone who has not replied to a message. We also found it very straightforward to use the subs payment function. It really has been a game-changer for us and we are hugely grateful to Teamo for allowing us free use and for always being available to answer any queries which arise.”
