Womens 5s vs Framlingham W1

28.09.24 Womens 5s Match Report

The Women's 5s travelled a short distance to Framlingham for the second game of the new season. We knew Framlingham would be a tough team, and we would need to work together, using what we have learnt in training over the last few weeks.

We started off a little sleepy due to an early pushback with Framlingham scoring the first goal 8 minutes in. Magpies fought back and produced some good runs with Catherine in the middle controlling our passing, and we were getting some shots in. Unfortunately, Annette's strikes kept hitting the post, and Framlingham scored again just before half time.

At half time, we had a reshuffle of positions and tactics and came back out looking strong. The passing was good, and we had more chances but unfortunately could not finish them. Framlingham scored their last goal just before the final whistle in a lucky break away, with the result ending in a 3-0 loss to Magpies. It was an unfortunate result, but good team play to build on for next weeks trip to Castaways.

Player of the match - Catherine Urquhart-Pearce
