Thanks for your message!

With approval from Lapland and the International Hockey SnowLeague Committee, Magpies have once again been given permission to host their annual Santa vs Elves activities on Saturday 21st December for all Club members, friends and wider family.
TIME
EVENT
09:30
The North Pole Challenge for all Magpies in School Years 1, 2 & 3. A Christmas skills test to occupy and challenge our junior magpies and any friends or family in this age range. Guests are very welcome.
10:30
Rudolph's Round Robin will take place on our the pitches, a 7-a-side mixed hockey competition for our U10s & U12s and any mums, dads, guardians or wider family friends keen to have a game. A chance to play with or against your family.
12:30
The Snowflake Cup and Icicle Trophy will take place for our U14s. What has grown out of Santa Bardwell and Santa Emms idea of a 'Dads vs Lads' hockey match is now an eagerly awaited fixture on Magpies calendar, a chance for our Under 14s to take on their parents in a festive hockey match. Fancy dress is essential - players and umpires. A playing parent is not essential in order for your Elf to take part but the more parents or wider sporting family members who take part the easier it is for Team Santa. Mulled Wine and Mince Pies will be available for all Santa's at half time.
14:30
The Winter Wonderland Cup - mixed 11-a-side hockey for all wider Club members in Year 10 and upwards (no upper age limit).
After all events, turkey rolls will be served in the clubhouse for all. Last year over 170 Santa and Elves took part across the day. I hope to see even more Magpies at this years event.
To book your place respond to the Spond Invitation if you are an U10, U12 or U14. For everyone else please email Santa Smith at youthchairman@magpies-hockey.co.uk or respond to any messages you may have had from Santa's helpers (team/age group captains) or let Santa Smith or Santa Manning know in person.
A £5 match fee will be payable on the day, which includes your turkey roll. Parents, friends and family will be able to purchase turkeys rolls from the kitchen on the day for £3.50.
Sadly in 2020 Magpies said farewell to Santa Bardwell, a founding member of the Santa vs Elves matches, when he lost his battle to cancer. Santa Bardwell 'Bardy' was a true Magpie, always available for a game, full of ideas and a willingness to support the next generation of Magpies. It still feels strange to walk into Magpies and not find Bardy behind the bar or on the pitch.
The Priscilla Bacon Hospice cared for Bardy in his final days and since then we have donated 25% of the event profits to them. Over the last 3 years the event has raised £1,100 for the Hospice.
I hope this years activities including the Winter Wonderland Cup will see more Magpies and friends than ever taking part, celebrating Bardy and being a Magpie.
Regards,
Santa Smith and Santa Manning
