5 Steps to Onboard Your Club To Teamo

Getting your club set up on Teamo is quick and easy. These five steps will ensure a smooth onboarding process for all your members.

1. Set Up Your Club

The first step is creating your club on the Teamo app or website. If you're using the app, start by downloading Teamo from the App Store or Play Store. Once installed, open the app, select Create a Club, and follow the prompts to enter your club’s details. After naming your first team, you’ll have the option to invite members right away or do it later. You can also customise your app and set up Teamo Payments to manage finances easily.

If you prefer setting up your club via the website, visit Teamo’s homepage and click Get Started. The steps are the same as in the app, and for the best experience, we recommend using Google Chrome. Once you've completed the setup, your club is officially ready to go!

2. Create Your Teams & Groups

To keep things organised, you’ll need to create teams and groups within your club structure. Teamo allows you to add multiple teams under different sections, ensuring smooth communication and management.

You can set up traditional teams that are linked to fixtures and external competition data, or create subsections to group multiple teams together—for example, an U16 Squad. Club-wide sections like Men’s, Ladies’, or Juniors’ divisions can also be added for easier management.

For special roles, you can create management groups for committees, allowing key members to be visible to the entire club. If you want to make a group open to all club members, simply enable the Open Group setting, and existing members can join with a team code.

3. Set Up Your Registration Form

A well-structured registration form makes it easy to collect important member details. In the Manage Club > Registration section, you can add as many questions as needed. Each question can have different response formats—short answers, long answers, yes/no options, and more. You can also mark questions as required and choose who they should be shown to.

For more control, Teamo offers advanced options like:

  • New Members Only, which ensures certain questions are only shown to members who joined in the last three months.
  • Medical Indicator, which highlights any medical conditions on a member’s profile.
  • Sensitive Data, which restricts access to sensitive responses to only the member and club admins.

If you ever need to add a new question after registration has started, no problem—Teamo will prompt members to answer the next time they log in.

4. Set Up Club Products & Memberships

Managing payments and club finances is simple with Teamo’s built-in product system. You can create memberships that can be paid in full or in instalments, making it easier for members to manage their payments.

For match-related fees, you can link payments directly to fixtures, ensuring a seamless collection process. Tickets are great for training sessions or social events, while passes offer flexible options like seasonal subscriptions. You can even add a merchandise store to sell club kits or gear directly through Teamo.

If your club relies on fundraising, setting up donation options can make it easier for members and supporters to contribute. And for discipline management, the fines feature lets you assign penalties for scenarios like red or yellow cards.

5. Invite Members to Join Your Club

Once everything is set up, it’s time to bring your members on board. You can send out a direct invite link by clicking the plus (+) icon on the home page, selecting Add Member, and copying the invite link. Simply share this link with your members, and they’ll be able to create a Teamo account and join your club.

Another way to invite members is through the 5-digit club code. You can find this code by navigating to the Teams section on either the app or desktop version. Select All Teams/Groups > Club, then click the Add Members icon in the top-right corner. Share the code with your members, and they’ll be able to join instantly.

By following these five simple steps, you can onboard your club smoothly and efficiently using Teamo. From setting up teams and registration forms to managing payments and inviting members, Teamo takes the hassle out of club management—so you can focus on what really matters.
