Mastering Communication on Teamo: A Guide for Clubs and Teams

Effective communication is the backbone of any successful team or club. With Teamo, you have an array of tools at your fingertips to keep everyone informed and connected. Whether it's sharing important updates, organising match days, or sending reminders, Teamo streamlines the process. Here’s how you can make the most of Teamo’s communication features:

1. Chats: Quick and Direct Communication

Chats on Teamo are a simple and effective way to stay in touch with individual members, teams, or groups.

How to Start a Chat:

  • Navigate to Chats.
  • Tap the New Chat icon in the top right corner.
  • Choose the type of chat: Individual, Team, Group, 1-2 Many, or Support.

Event/Match Day Chats:

  • Select your team for the match.
  • Go to the fixture and tap Chat, just below the team sheet.

2. Broadcast Messaging: Targeted, Personalised Updates

Broadcast messages are perfect for sending targeted updates to individuals or groups. These messages appear as personalised notifications, inviting replies without cluttering the Chats section—unless the recipient responds or an existing conversation exists.

Steps to Send a Broadcast Message:

For Admins:

  • Go to Manage Club > Send Notifications > Broadcast Message tab.
  • Write your message and select the group(s) you want to notify.

For Captains/Managers:

  • Go to Chats > New Chat > 1-2 Many.
  • Write your message and select the group(s) you want to notify.

Tips for Personalisation:

Include recipient details like names to make your messages more engaging. For instance, use !{firstName} to include the recipient’s first name.

Cross-Platform Delivery:

Broadcast messages can also be sent via email, ensuring important updates are delivered even if members aren’t actively using the app.

Who Can Send Broadcast Messages?

  • Captains/Managers: Can notify the teams or groups they manage.
  • Admins: Can send messages to any team or group.

3. Emails: Professional and Branded Communication

Teamo simplifies email communication by providing unique, branded email addresses for your club, teams, and groups. No more maintaining separate email lists—Teamo handles it all.

How to Email a Team or Group:

On Mobile:

  • Go to the Club tab and select All Teams.
  • Choose the team or group and navigate to the Messaging tab to find the email address.
  • Use this address in the “To” field of your email.

On Web:

  • Head to the Dashboard and select All Teams in the bottom right corner.
  • Find the team or group, go to the Messaging tab, and use the displayed email address.

Track Your Emails:

You can review previous emails through Email Reports in the Manage section.

4. Notifications: Instant Updates for Your Club

Notifications are perfect for urgent updates, reminders, or important announcements.

How to Send Notifications:

  • Go to Manage > Send Notification.
  • Select recipients (whole club, specific teams, or individual users).
  • Craft your message—for example, a friendly reminder about an upcoming event.

By utilising these features on Teamo, you can ensure smooth and efficient communication within your club or team. Whether it’s a quick chat, a personalised message, or a professional email, Teamo has the tools to keep everyone in the loop.
