What is the Medical Data Indicator?

The medical data indicator is a simple yet vital feature that flags any member’s profile if they’ve responded “yes" to one or more of your medical-related questions. This indicator acts as a clear, visual alert for coaches, captains, and admins, ensuring they are aware of any relevant medical conditions among club members.

How to Find and Activate the Medical Data Indicator

To ensure the medical data indicator is functional, you need to activate it during the creation of your questionnaire. Here’s how:

  1. Create or Edit Questions: When designing your registration form, add specific questions related to medical conditions. Toggle the “Medical Indicator” option for any questions that require it.
  2. Visibility for Key Personnel: Once activated, the medical indicator will be visible to admins within the Members Centre. Additionally, for captains, managers, and admins, this indicator will appear in event summaries, making it easy to identify and access relevant medical data when it matters most.

Essential Emergency and Medical Questions to Ask During Registration

A well-designed registration form will cover key health and safety areas. Here are some highly recommended questions that will utilise the Medical Data Indicator:

  1. “Do you have any medical conditions?”
  2. “Are there any specific medical issues we should be aware of?”

While some questions may be in the medical information and consent category, we do not recommend having the medical indicator on for all these questions. 

Making Medical Indicators Visible

Once your members begin registering and filling out their medical data, regularly review the medical indicators for accuracy and consistency. 

  1. Update and Review: Use the platform’s “Review All Members’ Medical Indicators” option periodically to ensure all data remains current. This can be found in the registration page of your Teamo club.
  2. Encourage Members to Update Information: Remind members to keep their medical information current by periodically reviewing their profiles and confirming that any health changes are accurately reflected.

The steps outlined here help ensure your club is equipped to respond to emergencies swiftly and appropriately, creating a secure environment where members feel supported. Whether for day-to-day practices or special events, the medical data indicator and emergency questions are essential tools that enhance both member experience and club safety.
