Wilmslow Ladies 2s travelled to an overcast Wales. Liams pre-match chat asked for the team to win the ball high up the field and be aggressive in the press.
During the first 5 minutes it felt like both teams were dusting the cobwebs off their sticks after a 6 week break over Christmas. But Wilmslow opened the dead lock with a break away attack down the left from Thea who found Famke in the D with a couple of defenders around her. Famke managed to find enough space to do a little spin shot at goal. 1-0 Wilmslow.
It didn’t take Wilmslow much longer to stretch their lead further with a fantastic counter attack down the right with Jenn & Feg. Which found SVD racing down on goal, who squared the ball into Thea who slotted it home for 2-0 Wilmslow.
Wilmslow were excellent in the second half some excellent last ditch tackles from Charlie and Nemma. Great saves to keep us in the game from Emma.

Overall a fantastic Wilmslow performance they should be very proud of that performance and showing the league they are to be taking very serious as they push for the promotion spots. Bring on Crewe next week.
