Welcome to the new season! Here are a few notices and updates for the start of the season:
1/ Membership fees due now
- Thanks to those who have paid their membership fees ahead of the deadline of Saturday 30th September.
- If you haven’t yet paid, please pay your membership fees NOW!
- If you are struggling financially please get in touch with Sarah (membership@wilmslowhockey.org.uk) we have options to help.
- Help for how to pay in Teamo is here.
2/ Availability for matches/training
- Please make sure your Teamo availability is always up to date for the next few weeks
- Tap the green or red buttons before Monday each week, so captains can make an informed selection of players without delays.
- Parents/guardians, please update availability as above on behalf of junior members.
3/ Expected behaviour - NW League
4/ Clubhouse progress
- The first insurance payout has been secured and reinstatement of the changing rooms is planned for this week.
- We hope to have the kitchen sanitised and usable by next weekend too.
- Big thanks to Penny Sparrow for leading the insurance negotiations and repair planning.
5/ Home teas
- Home teams and visitors were provided with sandwiches by Marco yesterday, as planned.
- Marco intends to provide hot food next Saturday if the kitchen is ready.
- Home captains: remember to submit your teas request by Thursday 10am this week.
6/ Social Media
- We want to increase our social media output and engagement this season, focussed on Instagram mainly.
- Please follow wilmslowhockeyclub on Instagram (or Facebook or X) to boost our followers and get involved
- Please send photo’s and features from your teams to Jamie Shuttleworth or Cat Vitale - our new social media team!
7/ Marshalling
- Please volunteer as a race marshal on Sunday 26th November: tap the green tick in Teamo to let us know you will help (or red tick if not so we don’t chase you later!).
- This is an important fundraising event for the club and it’s fun to take part in too!
- Parents/guardians, friends, family and juniors are all very welcome and encouraged to get involved.
8/ Teamo help
- Your Teamo app can sometimes get out of sync with all the team changes going on for the new season.
- If you’re not seeing what you expect to see, tap the refresh button in the profile menu (tap your initials/photo top left to reveal the profile menu, then tap the circular arrow.)
- Use the chat function to message the Teamo support team for help and check out the updated help centre on the Teamo website too.
9/ Club Open Day
- Thank you to everyone who helped prepare for and took part in the Club Open Day.
